Working with MCL Power, I had the pleasure of working on one of Edmontons' tallest high rise buildings; Edmonton Tower. On this project, I was grouped with an amazing crew of electricians. We were responsible for all of the emergency backup power, and customer metering for the building. Here are some of the responsibilities of our crew: - Wire backup generators, switch gear, emergency panels, distribution transformers, current transformers, motor control centres, and metering equipment. - Run and terminate mineral insulated cables
- Build and install strut hangers
- Run EMT, liquid tight flex, BX cable
- Assist in commissioning duties - Inspect and operate scissor lifts in tight/busy locations
- Perform daily safety meetings and job hazard analysis paperwork
